Bielsko-Biała is located in the south of Poland at the foot of the Beskid Mountains, on the Biała River, which has separated historic Silesia from Lesser Poland for centuries. It is the capital of the region known as Podbeskidzie, and has a population of 175,000. Associated mainly with the automotive and electrical engineering industries, until recently the second textile centre after Łódź. In terms of development potential, it is currently among the top ten Polish cities.
For many people, Bielsko-Biała is just a place they pass through when traveling to Slovakia and Hungary, or to the Czech Republic, Austria and further south in Europe. Others, especially residents of Upper Silesia, pass it during Christmas trips to the Beskids. However, those who stay here longer may learn the story of the city told by itself. Not the great one found in textbooks, but equally interesting, and perhaps surprising for many, evoking reflection on the passage of time and the changing vicissitudes of fate.

Expectations
The City Hall in Bielsko-Biała was looking for an experienced partner who would take care of computerisation of the risk management area. The task included implementing a tool for identifying, monitoring and reporting risk. One of the requirements was that the implementation company had already successfully completed similar projects, preferably for other offices. Moreover, it was important to provide expert support at every stage of work. These requirements were met by PBSG. We provided erisk software, of which we are the exclusive distributor. Its advantage is flexibility and the possibility of further expansion, which meets the needs of the office.
Solution
The aim of the project was to implement a risk management tool. At this point, the priority was to automate areas related to risk, surveys and reporting. A huge advantage of the erisk system is its flexibility, which makes it an excellent basis for further expansion – the City Hall in Bielsko-Biała took advantage of it. In subsequent years, we expanded the tool with other elements, including additional reports prepared by PBSG consultants. Thanks to this, the institution gained valuable technological support, facilitating its development towards a modern and safe office.
We provided the licence
We took care of the comprehensive implementation of erisk software, taking into account the requirements of the office and the specific nature of its activities. The licence covered risk, survey and reports modules.
We configured the tool
We have carried out work related to the configuration of the erisk tool in such a way that it fully meets the needs of the institution. We implemented the client’s methodology, completed data and prepared forms.
We created reports
To improve the risk management and supervision process, the office decided to implement a module related to reports. Thanks to it, it significantly improved risk control and was able to react faster if any of them exceeded the acceptable level.
We trained employees
Since the tool was a new thing for the organisation, employee training was crucial. They learned how erisk can help them in their daily work and acquired practical skills related to its use.
